And shucking out a couple of hundred million to select provinces for “affordable housing”, isn’t going to change this.
The liberals keep popping up with some amazingly insane numbers of what $100 Million can buy for housing…like this, just last week for British Columbia, social and legacy media was lit up with Vancouver getting $115 Million for Federal Housing.
Now…$115 Million is nothing to sneeze at, to be sure…but the Liberal Objective behind this is to help build 40,000 new homes…over the next decade:
Days after Justin Trudeau announced $115 million in funding for the City of Vancouver — a deal the prime minister said could fast track more than 3,200 new homes in the next three years and lead to more than 40,000 new homes in the next decade…
I’m not sure if you are familiar with the cost of living in Vancouver…or anyplace else in Canada, but $115M/40k Houses = $2,875/home built. This won’t even pay for the Permits required to build said houses and this is spread over a decade!
Mississauga will get $112.9 Mill for 3k new homes and housing related infrastructure…with plans to add 13k homes by 2026. If this money was used just on building the 3k homes alone, it would mean that they are building homes in Ontario for $37,633, including land and without delivery of utilities (necessary infrastructure).
“This direct funding will help cities like Mississauga who are on the front-lines of the housing crisis fast track the building of new homes,” said Mayor Bonnie Crombie.
Mayor Bonnie Crombie recognizes that Canada is in a “Housing Crisis”, but also believes that $113 Mill will help them turn this ship around…somehow while homeless are in the streets, at current, during another Canadian Winter.
There seems to be some confusion on what these houses will even look like…so far the proposed homes will be between SeaCan Homes and WWII style housing. Imagine Seacan Communities popping up in your neighborhood, in place of greenspaces or parks, because these are proposed to be built close to LRT (light rail transit), and busing routes, where the Federal Government has decided that these spaces should be considered Federal Land.
That place where you take a walk, walk your dog, or teach your child to ride their bicycle…under the Liberal Government could become a Seacan City.
And exactly who’d want to live in them or even beside them?
We are already a couple of hundred thousand homes short in Canada for the current Immigration levels…and if you hadn’t heard, the population of Canada grew by more than 430,000 in Q3 of this year ALONE!
And Trudeau has No plans to cut back…because he thinks that this is responsible and at a pace our cities can keep up.
I’m not sure which part of the Current:
Housing Crisis;
Affordability Crisis;
Healthcare Crisis;
Trudeau believes is being assisted by unsustainable immigration levels…because, just in 2023 alone, the economic growth that he speaks of, costed taxpayers $769 Million in Hotels and Meals…
Add in another 430k in Q4 of 2023…or Q1 in 2024 and this will be over a Billion Taxpayer Dollars per year to house and feed people…while even with this burden on your back hipster have already seen Migrant Tent Cities taking over Canadian Cities:
Not one single thing that Trudeau said in his presser was correct and in fact, everything he said is the complete opposite of what the reality is.
Brace hard…2024 is going to be a really tough year for all of us!
