Your burgers sound great but nix the cheese slices for real cheese. Slices are 99% oils. They burn. Real cheese does not

I'll have cheddar on each burger but absolutely need cheese slices on a grilled cheese.

It's one of my indulgences...I'll do better next year, k?

Happy New Year, Bonnie.

Typically, my wife, the seafood freak, lines up some king crab legs from the local Lobster Mobster and we cook some steaks for the classic surf & Turf on new years.

Sheldon, my wife does an awesome jalapeno chedder burger,

but I like a little salsa added in the patties, that's good too.

I like a spicy burger every now and then as well...Woody's Taphouse in Calgary makes a decent one. They use Louisiana Hot Sauce on the patty and some peppers as condiments...absolutely delicious and adds the the meat sweats.

I can see a fresh pico going nicely on a burger...I do one up for steak every now and then.

Tomatoes, Onions, Cilantro, Corn, a little oil and fresh squeezed lime...this would easily go!

I sure do hope these are degrees Celcius ! Even minus 8 C sounds pretty cold. Today here in Georgia, USA it was around 70 F, somewhat around 21 C. Plus. We sat outside in a Tshirt and a jeans blouse. But next week, weathermen say, we will be in a cold snap, too. I will think of you ! don't freeze, enjoy your burgers and warm your hands on them ! Happy new year to you and your family and friends!

Yup...Celsius.

In the spring, this is t-shirt weather for us...coming out of summer, it's at least a warm sweater.

Happy New Year, Ingrid!

Happy New Year, Sheldon! We are not so flexible for New Year celebration, we have about 200 salads and other recipes we will have to have on our table tomorrow as other former soviet union folks would have with some influences from Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Poland. We will go for fireworks in Arbour lake community and watch old movies.

Sounds like an amazing time.

I'm 8 minutes away if it's too cold to griddle.

Happy New Year!

Going to a sushi joint which is our once a year unhealthiest feast. All that mercury... 😲

We usually get a boat of sushi and sashimi that's made for 4-6 people and dust it. I will admit, with me being a whopping 100 lbs soaking wet, he eats 2/3s of it. 🤣

Then we'll come home and watch YouTube live feeds from around the world starting in the far east where new years comes sooner, and work our way west to NFLD, then across the time zones to BC.

Happy New Year Sheldon and family. May it be better than the last 4🕯️🎆🕯️

So good...the fries with that were a little over-seasoned...but the burger had a fried egg on it too...soft yolk, it was amazing.

Your burger sounds delicious and is a great 3 sandwich combination, can’t wait to try that idea.

We traditionally have a charcuterie board for 2, sparkling wine, and a couple of good movies, and watch the New York time square ball drop! In our PJ’s by 8pm or 9pm. 😂. Happy New Year from B.C.!

We did charcuterie for Christmas Eve, with the fam...great stuff...only did our turkey dinner last night, just the wife and me. Kids had theirs at other parents and grandparents.

Not positive...but I suspect they'll try and dive into tomorrow to tip a glass with us and have a burger...I always make too much food and appreciate the company.

Happy New Year, Dana!

Laughed out loud on this part of the stack

"Where, if you can eat the burger and fries in 30 minutes or less, you won a t-shirt…

They handed me mine around the 20 minute mark…"

For fellow readers, I can attest that Sheldon was probably done at the 10 minute mark. I've seen him eat..and wow..he can really consume in record time.

Thanks for the Stack brother..and BTW, those burgers looked tasty. Happy New Year pal.

Happy New Year Sheldon! Burgers sound gloriously decadent. If it were me, though, I’d use Jamie Oliver’s grilled cheese recipe!
