This is why gun laws need to change in Canada, so home invaders can be swiftly dealt with. 12 ga rifled slugs in a Defender style shotgun would be perfect.

If there's no body found, it didn't happen. Lots of forested land to the west

If I was on a farm, then the old saying "shoot, shovel and shut up" would be fine, but not in the city.

I have my cordless hole puncher right beside my pillow and a dog that barks at the sound of lint hitting the floor. A roll of Vapor barrier works great for cleanup!

Fascinating comments about Alberta tonight as a person who lived there for 18 months in the early 2000's. I remember Aidre because my husband had business associates there and we were invited to a party in this remote enclave. It was big sky country in the middle of nowhere. Beautiful part of Alberta. And now it is a focus for crime and a hefty Federal government grant to combat this?

Sheldon. I noticed you referred to living in North West Calgary. When I lived there I believe I resided in the same area. I was in close proximity to Nose Hill Park. I loved Calgary, particularly the people and their amazing tolerance for pets. It's been a long time since I have lived there but always look forward to your posts regarding this remarkable province. My only complaint while living their was the climate and I missed the rain, the mountains of British Columbia, and the coast.

I have had the experience of living in 3 provinces in Canada. I was born in Quebec and left for the west coast in 1978 and took up residence in British Columbia. Lived for 18 months in Alberta and back to British Columbia where I currently reside. I have never regretted my decision to leave Quebec and would never go back but there are times when my heart strings are between Alberta and British Columbia.
