A side question about statins and alzheimer's. Are there any studies showing statins being responsible for the amyloid protein that causes alzheimer's?

The relationship between statins and Alzheimer's disease, particularly concerning the formation of amyloid proteins, has been explored through various studies and discussions.

Statins and Amyloid Protein Reduction: Some research, including a study highlighted in the UVA Health news, suggests that cholesterol, which statins lower, plays a role in the production of amyloid beta in the brain. This implies that statins might theoretically reduce amyloid accumulation by managing cholesterol levels in astrocytes, which could influence Alzheimer's progression.

Direct Evidence on Amyloid Protein: The information directly linking statins to an increase or reduction in amyloid protein specifically responsible for Alzheimer's isn't explicitly detailed in the snippets provided. However, mechanisms involving cholesterol's role in amyloid beta production suggest a potential indirect pathway where statins might influence amyloid accumulation, but this needs more direct evidence from clinical studies for confirmation.

Best I can come up with, on short notice...

Sarah, I’d suggest you do a study yourself to find out about statins for a full appreciation outside of Mainstream Medicine. Also linked to Type 2 diabetes and various cancers like Pancreatic.

Thank you. I work in the dental field and it's shocking how many patients have statins listed on their med history!

Sarah, doctors and cardiologists will scare you into believing you need them. Research shows otherwise. My dad has never wanted to be on them and I'm fighting to get him off. Risks: muscle problems, T2 diabetes, dementia, etc.

Here's a few articles:

A Midwestern Doctor writes The Forgotten Side of Medicine here on substack. He has done a lot about statins, amongst other good stuff.

I am horrified at remembering myself giving fluoride DROPS that the community health nurse gave me to my 2 children each morning.

I suppose if they are hell bent at poisoning us, it is best done by our own hand. NOBODY FORCED US, did they!!!!????

As always Sheldon, another great article with facts. I wish people would take the time to do a little research and not just follow msm or the experts trying to poison and kill us.

There's also the argument about cost vs benefit (although as Sheldon has so eloquently stated their really are no benefits) when may water is used to shower and bathe, do dishes, water the lawn etc,.versus the tiny amount that goes into brushing ones teeth. How can anyone in their right mind even try to make the argument work?

I don’t know if anyone commented but you let it slip

“A second reason is that it has corrosive properties and can add to the deterioration of the water infrastructure”.

You were just testing us, Sheldon. Now I wonder has it anything to do with the rotted concrete pipes that are facing major repairs everywhere in the system.

When Calgary out Fluoride back in the 80’s, there was talk around Council to have a publicly available water spigot for Calgarians to fill up. “Alderman” Sue Higgins put the kibosh on that that after realizing the City would have a traffic line-up showing Fluoridation was a bad idea to have so many wanting pure water.

Really is a shame considering Calgary’s water supply comes from the Rocky Mountains and likely is some of the purest quality water in the world to have the need of putting industrial wastes in it. The bad thing about artificial Fluoride, if not bad just by itself, comes from smelting operations contaminated with arsenic and lead.

When studies originating in Great Britain showed naturally occurring fluoride in a particular town translated to decreased dental Carrie’s in comparison, I don’t think they took into consideration the socio-economic backgrounds of comparative urban centers.

Anyway, Fluoride in potable water is moot unless looking after a Soviet Gulag where it was found fluoridated water pacified the inmates. Maybe that’s the primary intention, to keep the populace stupid and pacified.

I personally think we should have calgary watered tested by an outside company to see what gondek has put in since she had most to do with the water breaks / limits this summer.

We need a complete list of all the lies that have been told. Here are two:

I have very old advertisements of doctors promoting smoking cigarettes for health. They knew that was BS.

Women were blamed for their children’s birth defects not thalidomide.

I don’t have this issue, but if you have low nitric oxide, then there are good chances that you also have some level of erectile dysfunction. So if you drink fluoridated water, you may be hurting your sex life.

Excellent article!!! I hope Calgarians can stop this fluoridation train wreck. Check this recent win out: https://rumble.com/v5h4axx-we-won-the-epa-was-forced-to-admit-fluoride-is-toxic.html

Again, 💯 on point..

I try do to what I can to reduce fluoride by using a "Clearly Filtered" pitcher for all drinking and cooking water, couple other brands available..

A Canadian company, Green Beaver, produces fluoride and aluminum free products..

Unfortunately still have to bathe in the toxic water, but I try to make a conscience effort..

Good luck out there!

Same old argument about the media misinforming the masses. History shows that people are sheep. So many uninformed and that is why we get stuck with lousy governance.
