not ONE person I talked to wants to believe what I disclose to them...they will not read anything, or view any video...they are sure of global warming...flipping idiots...much better spent time on their screen, and sharing what they saw on Facebook and other stupid social media...I almost wish they suffer when all this stuff collapse but I will be in it too thanks to their laziness in doing research! The wife and I went to see Dr Patrick Moore (the ex-Greenpeace exec) who has railed against the climate change hoax by talking about actual science. When Melisa asked him his thoughts on chemtrails, his reaction was to say "there's no such thing" and immediately shut her down. Amazing that he could be looking at the earth and the skies but not see those crazy streaks in the sky that go from one horizon to the other.
Not even going to go into the Clmate Change Hoax as it’s just an aggravation, especially in Canada contributing to 1.5% of the World’s Carbon output with 0.44% of the planet’s population living on 1.8% of the world’s land surface. OK, it’s a given that it isn’t all arable, but noteworthy to say it takes more energy per person to heat our homes or travel to see friends. Unless you live in Montreal where you can saunter over to Ben’s Smoked Meat Deli - at least until it closed.
But I will comment on some interesting items you brought forward wrt building codes. I was reminded of once having listened to Buckminster Fuller talk at the U of C, that would start on complete opposite ends of the spectrum and then used to hone a chisel point. I specifically remember him talking about how a young Engineer allegedly brought old man Krupp a formula for a steel that didn’t rust. Krupp supposedly scoffed at him, saying what good would it be if it didn’t rust out, they couldn’t sell anymore!!
But such is our society built up more as a series of shop keepers than knowledgeable beings we could all be if we strove for it. Like raising questions about why we continue to put up asphalt shingles or vinyl siding in a climate conducive to hailstorms. Blame it all on Global warming, I guess but make money selling replacements. Just like the scene in “The 5th Element” where Zorg demonstrates that destruction is good by purposely breaking a water glass and calling attention to all the little mini robots built cleaning the broken pieces up that were built and designed by people earning g a living and sending their kids to college to be able to do the same. Many years ago in the Water Treatment business building equipment packages for export, I tried selling the idea of product distinction on the basis of not needing chemicals. Bad marketing mistake, where everybody on the Gulf Coast had a brother or uncle involved in chemical sales for water treating.
One day, we’ll figure out how to keep everyone employed and happy instead of always looking at a constant destructive, planned obsolescence, do-everything-as-we’ve-always-done society. Maybe figure out that growing wholesome food is better than spending billions on health care supporting Mainstream Medicine and Big Pharma, the aftermath of GM and irradiated food. However, I am digressing from the main subject.
Having been in the building industry, you might have asked why shingle manufacturers (who sold their asphalt shingles by weight as a judge of quality, insisted on adding shredded scrap metal into the tarry mix. As far as I know, it didn’t make the shingles any more durable and likely even more brittle and subject to stress fracturing during a hailstorm.
I should have mapped this out, but it was already a long read.
If you consider weather pattens in Calgary and the trajectory of storms, mitigation serves to reduce the amount of damage done to our International Airport. We see storms moving from the North and through the East...
If the same plan is executed at the Edmonton International Airport - In Nisku, who'd know?
I lived in Grande Prairie and Red Deer — in the past two years chemicals spewing from jet planes in long white lines across the atmosphere billowing outwards into thick clouds puncturing our air with chemicals to disperse any cloud that might carry rain, while increasing HUMIDITY in our dry prairie province.
