When the government came out with the idea to fund EV battery plants, I commented in The Epoch Times: There will be not a single battery leaving the plant, but the money will be gone.
The first part came already true. It will be a long time before we hear how much it cost the taxpayer.
BTW, this is all in the plan to bankrupt Canada. Fake climate change will be used to accomplish this.
Thanks for mentioning the Great Taking. It does explain a lot as to why we are currently floundering as these changes are slowly taking place with calculated precision. We live in an age of distractions and most likely have no idea of what is really going on.
Something is rotten with this whole EV battery thingy - so this one didn't get any taxpayer funds, what about the ones that did? If there is no business model for these batteries, won't they go tits up as well? And what about the farmland that was expropriated in Ontario, wasn't that for a EV battery plant? Idk, definitely not on the up & up!
Thanks Sheldon. Your post put a huge smile on my face. To be honest I can't believe how behind the times the current Federal government is. If someone in their overloaded and constantly expanding Federal bureaucracy had kept up with the times and trends as I did, it was more than obvious that EVs were dead on arrival. The trends and acceptance of EVs in Europe and the United Kingdom have been in decline. And yet here we are with a Federal Government who came too late to the party yet pursued these policies because they looked good on a world resume and apparently to the entire governing cabinet.
I can't wait to hear our illustrious environmental minister, Steven Guilbeault , put a positive spin on this latest development.
I'm betting that Umicore is looking for more money and we'll soon hear an announcement, while our politicians are on the summer barbecue circuit, that miraculously more money has been found to keep this mad process going.
"Who would flush $2.76 Billion down the toilet when they had already figured that there was going to be a really tiny window of opportunity to begin with?"
That is the Trillion Dollar Question!
And, the answer is, IMHO, that these companies are counting on being bailed out by the taxpayers... So, Solyndra 2.0 - bigger and better.
Thank goodness they pulled the pin now and not after receiving taxpayer funds

You will own nothing, happy or not.
James Webb's The Great Taking. Exactly.

I came across an article saying Ford stop making EVS and are going to stick with making gas powered
F-50 trucks. (not sure if I got the model correct)
F-150.
The "Lightning", is their flagship model EV.
They seemingly can't give them away.
I think on a normal home current it takes 96 hours to fully charge.
But tell the PM to put only EV's in the creeps motorcade.

Just another laundering of taxpayers money!
Hydrogen will go the same way. Money wasted.
"Recouping our investment"?
That will never happen, but, naturally, more money will be thrown at it and we'll lose that as well...
'Member ethanol?
Costs more to produce, than it can be sold for.
And energy produced is nowhere near gasoline.
Subsidized by taxpayer $$.
Just sayin'

The thing that is rotten is the government. YGL's that follow exactly what WEF them tell to do.
The snark factor is glorious Sheldon! 😂😂😂
Pockets in my gonch?! What a great idea, then we wouldn't need to wear pants lol. Think of the cost savings
This is 'EXPLOSIVE' news for Canadians!

Geniuses. Geniuses run the government. They think they're entrepreneurs. In their heads.
Freeland and Champagne would fail to make a business of selling oxygen.
An other headline:
Electric Car Doldrums…VW Announces 1000 Layoffs At East German Plant.
VW announces 1000 layoffs at large electric-vehicle plant in East Germany as demand slips and market turbulence persists.
Something like $18 Billion would be spent on VW, the Nazi carmaker.
Great news! Thanks!
