Easy as ratting on your neighbours when they had an extra car or two in their driveway during Covid lockdowns. SMDH.

I can’t say I’m a fan of such an app. It smacks of the snitching encouraged in every communist country since forever. A loaded shotgun & a community backhoe would work wonders 😁

It absolutely is Snitching...but for ACTUAL CRIME, FFS!

We've been reduced to ratting out our neighbors for watering their lawn at the wrong time of day or wrong day of week. If your neighbor shows up with a New Vehicle, everyday and you believe this to be suspicisous...REPORT THEM!

Cummon dude.

In our neighborhood , almost everyone has security cams, and people actually talk to one another. No app needed. Of course we’ll report sus stuff. Nonetheless, Canada’s criminal justice & policing system is badly broken. I & my neighbours have no intention of betting our lives on it.

Yes. A loaded shotgun hung up out of the teach of small children by the front door would pit a quick end to the nonsense. A low tech SAFE AND EFFECTIVE solution!

Next thing the govt advice will not just be to leave your car keys on the car, but to leave your house keys on the door. This is just terrible - why is no one reacting? Of course police is overwhelmed - but what if they catch the culprits? they a 20 bucks fee and are set free again? Or community service? Or they just let them go because the jails are full?

Our street in Ontario has hired a security service to patrol our street every night 10 pm to 6 am. Many cross streets have also hired the same company but a different security guard.

Unfortunately there is no deterrence when we have a catch and release legal system. Repeat offenders are obviously common and could easily be caught with evidence left at the crime scene but police don’t even bother with basic fingerprinting. There is no rule of law when no one is ever held accountable. The legal system of course would choose to enforce the law against vigilante’s

Long ago when i was a realtor the Board devised a program of Realtor Watch because we were out and about working in neighborhoods, like neighborhood watch.

Good idea Sheldon. We need the watch again. I'm with you 💯

We need our guns back, the right to use them and Castle Laws. Sovereignty from Kanadastan would help with this.

Be interesting to see how quick something got done if these break ins were at politicians houses or their cars were stolen but no doubt they live where there is security or have paid for security by us dumb taxpayers. When it’s in their back yard maybe something will change. And judges want a $60,000 raise on top of their crazy wages and 3/4 for life pension. Must be exhausting releasing criminals to pray on us and our kids
