This is a good thing. Cops won't even respond to a call unless there is money involved..money for them. I have no faith left in police after the covid lockdowns ..they proved themselves to be nothing more than bullies.
I have twice found a lost wallet,returned to rcmp. Got grilled like I stole it myself ..questioned forced to show identification .
Yes stop the photo radar. But please do something about all the horrible driving habits. Here in Airdrie it's almost impossible to be a pedestrian without being run over in the middle of a crosswalk wirh lights on. Happens atleast once a day.talked to cops. Was told to get a puc of the plate.. really? My knees are banging together from shock and fear but yet they want s puc of plate?? Cops sll need to go back and get educated properly about being a police officer as the majority appear to have a holier than tho attitude
During the 2013 flood, RCMP broke down my back door and entered. When I called the RCMP to report the crime, the friggin cop checked me for criminal background. I told her that was pretty rich considering I was reporting on THEM for committing a B&E.
Just as politicians are occasionally subjected to the demeaning insult of "elections", there should be a regulation that any bill requiring expenditure above xxxxxxx dollars should also be subjected to public vote. This would force the lazy politicians to be required to explain the content of the bill and publicly justify the expenditure. Further, such voting could be conducted by online access via cell phone or other communications device using a registered ID & password, and arranged so the voting can occur regularly to prevent too many bills from piling up before the next voting period.
Existing costly legislation could also be voted upon to determine the will of the people, with a significant majority opposing the legislation forcing the legislature to resubmit to the legislation approval system described above.
