British Columbia being a predominantly NDP Province, current Premier - David Eby…I’ll not go into a title of Honorary, because this prick is anything but honorable.
You see…BC is only one of 2 provinces that won’t allow unvaccinated healthcare workers back to work and there are about 2,500 of them left in the lurches…jobless and without EI Benefits, because they refused the jab.
And instead of addressing the issues of overrun hospitals and care centers and hire back the unvaccinated staff, he’d prefer to pay $3,700 per nurse assessment fee for 2,000 nurses to be imported from other countries - $7.4 Million Dollars, plus an additional $4000/head in financial support, plus an additional $10,000/head in bursaries for any additional education required.
If you aren’t aware, nurses who’ve been certified abroad through the International Nursing Programs still need to update their Triage to meet with Canadian guidelines…meaning that $7.4 Million dollars to parachute immigrants into the country under an expedited program will see 2,000 highly skilled and trained nurses come into the province to qualify for a $20/hour position as a PSW - Personal Support Worker and they typically require a year of studies just to qualify, thus the additional $10k per head in bursaries for additional education.
And here’s the thing…
When you hire qualified skilled nurses from other countries and drop them into changing diapers for senior citizens in Canada, they’re not happy. Take that and the $20/hour paychecks that they’d receive and try get them into affordable housing in British Columbia.
$3,700 + $ 4,000 + $10,000 x 2,000 PSWs = $35.4 Million Dollars for…Nannies.
Where the province has benched 2,500 qualified and skilled nurses who were celebrated as heroes before the COVID Vaccines were even available for working in the same settings.
The job didn’t change.
The lethality of COVID was never a concern for anybody under the age of 65 or who didn’t already have multiple comorbidities…meaning virtually 100% of the Nurses being fired and replaced would be more concerned over being hit by an Asteroid than would be concerned with catching the Omicron Sniffles.
And to go over what the vaccines have provided in British Columbia, you can download the statistics from Health Canada→ Link, and it will show you how poorly the vaccines have actually done for the province.
Over 50% of the COVID deaths in BC happened last year.
The people telling you how to be safe had the province follow their advice on Non-Pharmaceutical Interventions for the last 3 years, Vaccinations for the last 2 years, Boosters for the last year and a half, Paxlovid for the last year, Bivalent Boosters for the last 4 months…and the result was more people dying from COVID in 2022 than died from COVID in the 2 years prior, combined.
Add to this, instead of hiring back the unvaccinated workers in order to deal with the overcrowding of hospitals, the Ministry of Health in BC kicked 1,800 patients out of their hospital beds → Link.
To add insult to injury, the BC Legislature made it mandatory for future injections, as they see fit…mandatory testing, for when they want to set more money on fire…and put in a gag order for Healthcare workers to speak out against the Laws of the Land in BC…no matter what their concerns are.
Don’t want to take the jabs?
Fine. You’ll be replaced.
Try to talk about your concerns?
Nope…you’ll lose your license to practice and be fined thousands of dollars.
Here in Alberta, Rach keeps saying that they will respect frontline healthcare workers…to end the Chaos in Healthcare…
Notley also confirms that they’d like to ‘recruit more help’.
And where does she think that she’ll find this help?
Same place as that prick Eby - overseas.
As a union member, you are to support the unions so that they can in return support you. You are to Vote NDP, because…they are the ‘Workers Party’.

I hope the Nurses in Alberta, all the union members and their cheerleaders see exactly what the NDP Parties brings.

The NDP has always supported rules and regulations that have made Canada's public health system a joke in the West. I work in a field where many internationals pass through temporarily for work. Some take the decision to either stay or go back. Lemme tell ya, whether they're from Argentina or Brazil, USA or Australia, Italy or France and so on, ALL mock our health system in Quebec. That's telling you something. According to them. 18-hour waits in an emergency are just about non-existent in their countries.
I asked one person if the government of Canada tells potential immigrants about the 'unique' language laws in Quebec. She said no they don't. Which, to me, is not right. Be up front about it. You come here, you can't send your kids to the school of YOUR choice. This person left Quebec fot Ottawa because of that.

About 25 years ago there was an idiot hardcore Quebec nationalist who said on Quebec TV (with not a single outcry for an apology) in French, 'Canada is a nation of assholes'.

I’m a retired critical care nurse and am shocked and appalled at what I’ve been seeing and hearing happening in our healthcare and politics. This is a coordinated attack on everything we as citizens have held dear. The attack on healthcare professionals in BC is not only unbelievable, but criminal. Goes against all rights previously held. Need complete dismantling of government controlled professional bodies.
