Ok, I hate to have to ask, but what in the hell is a “freedumber”?
I’ve never heard that one before. My guess is that it’s a shot at people who value individual freedoms, but I don’t want to rely on my guesses….some kind of definition would be appreciated.
Thanks
PS
Even though I’m an American, our cultures are similar enough that it should mean the same thing on both sides of the border…..
You're on the right track. It's a phrase that emerged during the Trucker's Convoy. It's a pejorative directed at them for having the temerity of valuing freedom. The lost souls who were hoodwinked into buying the government's and media's narratives (ie lies) about the truckers lashed out like good Pavlovian Dogs at people who exercised their right to freedom of assembly and speech. Canadians - at least 50% according to polls - supported the draconian measures against the truckers.
Wow, 50% plus were AGAINST the truckers? For some reason I find that shocking. I probably shouldn’t, considering that Canada has always been more liberal than the US…..
PS
I just went back and looked at US public support for vaccine mandates in 2021-22 and found similar numbers in the US. Mandates here didn’t seem so popular at the time.
Nice write up !! Don't listen to liberal whiners. Don't even respond to them..they are only looking to stir shit . As for the next door app. I dumped mine due to all the whining and bickering. .yep. it's a whiners app. So you can squeal on your neighbors. And complain about neighbors walking their dogs on a trail behind their house. Yep its the whiners club
Great comebacks Sheldon, love your honesty. Climate change is a tax scam to further enslave Canadians moving them from the middle class to the poor house. Non-informed people will demand the Govt fix the problem so more taxes, more lockdowns, give up your cars, eat crickets not meat, etc. Problem, reaction, solution.
Great roundup. Thanks for that. It is unreal how fast our country is sinking. Wish I could've been at the Garage with that great group of folks. I must've missed the post on X. Nya well. Next time.
Thoroughly enjoy your rants Sheldon! Not just the rants, your content both written and video episodes are informative with the bonus of being entertaining. Trying to keep up with the non-stop insanity is, IMO, exhausting! Thanks for all that you do Sheldon, living in a somewhat isolated corner of Alberta, you help keep it real.
I fear for the next generation. My friend's grade eight child attended a Provincial science day ( from North Van ) and the teachers were screeching , "it's the end for Mother earth."
As I often tell a friend of mine: "I'm just laying back and enjoying the decline..." However, on a practical note, while the former is true, we have been actively supporting the local food banks and donating personal items like clothes and such to reputable charities (we recently had a loss in the family, and we are making sure clothes - specially winter stuff - are going to those who need them the most. ) Stay classy, folks!
And the saddest thing of all is that there was video posted of Trudeau and some MPs out on the balcony high up at the parliament buildings, out to watch the eclipse . There was a large crowd of people on the lawn below chanting “f**k Trudeau” on repeat the whole time he was out there. Clear line of site and not a single one of the buggers was armed….. so the scandals will continue, I’m afraid.
Admittedly, Sheldon, I don't know the history you had or have with the commenter on ND, but my first reaction was, this is not the way to convince people to come to our side. His first comment seemed like a great opportunity to discuss free speech and censorship. I think when dealing even with people who we know are not genuine in their questions, comments, etc, that it is more important to think about the people who are watching. Most people don't ever comment. Again, I have little context for your comments so it's a bit difficult.
I just finished reading Alex Jones's book The Great Awakening. In it he says:
"A lot of people who are in the matrix don’t even understand there is a matrix. You need to be gentle with them. That’s why it’s important to communicate in a way that results in people listening."
I know the temptation to lash out people who do not see what's going on and have done so myself, but it really doesn't seem to accomplish what I hope it will.
C.J. Hopkins says we'll never convince these people with logic...we have to expose the monster to them in a way that turns their lightbulb on. That's a difficult task and probably very different for each individual, but that does seem to be our task if we're going to win this war.
🙈😂 I’m sorry it’s definitely not a laughing matter alas laugh I must for the insanity is such. In short, love you, love your writing and I love and will continue to support the real Canada from afar 🙏
Phrases I absolutely loathe and despise: "Climate change denier" and "Freedumber".
Do the people who say these stupid and imbecilic things realize they're the fricken witch hunters and authoritarians?

Thanks for defining it for me.

But apparently they were.
Sickening….
Both countries haven't exactly impressed let's just say.

Sounds like an excellent place for me to continue to brush up on my charm!
lol

Xi Jinping is emulating Mao Zedong.
Mao Zedong had the same way of thinking as Lenin.
A method often used by Lenin, ``controlled opposition.''
The so-called fifth column.
What Xi Jinping says to foreign countries is always different from what he says to inside the Communist Party.

Listen to this!
Thanks Sheldon. I appreciate you!
100k babies and many more thousands euthanized thanks to MAiD and various toxins and pollutants.
Zero value for human life.

It seems the corruption we see in politics today is above the law. Sickening! Are we back in the 30’s.
