Apparently, you can miscalculate and allow for 4000 people to die (which is at the very least manslaughter), act with malfeasance regarding all the futile measures imposed more zealously than any other jurisdiction on the continent, and this will get you RE-ELECTED with a STRONGER mandate. The psychology in play here is remarkable and hypocrisy astounding.
