Such an addiction to phones, you can see the terrorist and hands shake when younger people think they have lost their phone. I am sure they would be less panicked if the baby they had in their arms, would be out of sight. Why is it these devices are needed to fulfill their lives. We had a party line no answering machine and to fill any silence we didn’t want, a real live human you could hug, see them laugh or give a smart if things weren’t good. I know they believe they are the lucky ones and we were deprived, sorry many my age would disagree. Just imagine if you wanted to develop something that made you the oddball in the family, on purpose.sort of like before lifts and wheelchairs and elevators handicapped people had to be inventive to be able to enjoy family time, unless they were small enough to carry. Before cochlear implants deaf people had to master sign language and so did their family. If they didn’t that person was an outcast, left out by the most basic human comfort and being part of a group, language. It’s almost like the person who devised these meant them to be something great, but forget or don’t realize a whole generation is left in the dark, struggles with these things that have so many buttons, are hard to hear sometimes. The generation, who badly needs the connection to their elders, who lived a very different life but their dreams and wishes were the same. Left to struggle in their own times, while wanting to enjoy and be part of each others lives. A device that steals from the elderly, can introduce porn to your young teenager, was that their intention or it became a realized mistake after it was too late
Google and Apple can listen now. So can the TV and any "smart" device in your home including Ring and Nest cameras. Data collection was always the reason for all of these products as they make big $ on selling it. Ditch it all. If you need a smartphone, then degoogle it and replace with an open source os. There are also mic blocks you can place in your computers and phones. Also lens covers, Faraday bags, turning off WiFi on your phone etc
