The safeguards, like the guardrails on highways, are meant to provide additional protection against the consequences of over-reach. Those have been removed in the name of covidmania. The argument in favour of such safeguards is not merely about rights, liberty, and pursuit of the Common Good but also is about the practicality of counter-balancing against incompetence AND abuse of authority.
There may be a 3rd option whereby wilfull blindness is motivated, and not merely disguised, by supposed benevolence. The root of that would be a seemingly unlimited trust in Government being the Solution to anything and everything. This option must dissolve into one or both of the first two options or we will never restore accountability and transparency. However, that 3rd option amounts to us, the population being acted upon, silently conceding to Government both the power and the immunity; and that would entail our own culpability.
Have we done enough? It is a question that will haunt all of us.

Vomiting, diarrhea, headache, difficulty breathing, rash all over her face and chest, swollen tongue, racing heart, terrible chest pains, controllable shaking, inability to get up and move. Her entire body had been poisoned. When her frantic significant other called the number she had been provided to get help with he was told two things. 1) She could not possibly be having any kind of adverse reaction to the shot. The have an approved list of adverse effects from the shot. 2) She must have COVID. Do not call an ambulance or go to the hospital. Ride it out at home so you don't give COVID to anyone. She recovered after three days. Imagine what such poison would do to a fragile elderly person. It's not COVID that is killing these people. It's the "false negative COVID" reported by Pfizer in their summary application to the FDA. The shots themselves affect some people as if they are a deadly poison and these people die from the shot. They don't die from COVID. THEY DIE DIRECTLY FROM THE SHOT!!!! Our public health people convert their deaths to COVID in the unvaccinated to hide the deadly poison in the shots and to inflate the deaths in the unvaccinated. This is at best criminal negligence and at worst premeditated first degree murder.
