Absolutely brilliant analysis and very nuanced in the consequences of the decisions made by our government and choices made about veering outside of all the promises of Canada to uphold rights yet trampled all over the Charter of Rights & Freedoms and now seemingly made it the default position policy to pretend it doesn’t exist for citizens.
Where in the Charter does it give power to government to spy -listen in on conversations, online discussions? Not sure if there is a way back from this. The ones see the trajectory of steep decline already are preparing for alternate options. The rest will unfortunately will trust like they did during covid, no matter how obvious the decline is.
