I was there and this movement seems positive, albeit with regular startup social media glitches. Seems like reputable people like Jon Horsman and Mike LaValley from my Ward are leading his effort. They need to keep the political insiders with the big egos in check, herd some cats and let the grassroots from each community be the driving force. It's a step in the direction and I plan to get involved on a Ward level to help where I can.

So far this development seems to be the only good thing that has happened as a result of Gondek's election. Excellent, take back your city.

Very much undecided with the Municipal party thing. Completed the survey regarding this when the government put it out. On the pro side, you know where the candidates stand, they have to divulge any conflict of interest (that hasn't worked out so well federally). On the con side, I feel a party affiliation would not serve the citizens as well as an individual, but I live in rural Alberta so there's a difference. Would rather see someone connected to the land & community.
