“Live your life without regrets”, they say…
And tonight I met with some pretty amazing people, some for the second or third time and was happy to have them all show up for a festive beverage.
With this, it’s hard to not have some regrets.
I regret that a lot weren’t able to attend, brother bez working the Food Bank, my kids strapped with their parental duties, Gary held up with customers, and a lot of friends who would have to break sound barriers to be in attendance;
I regret not having enough time to spend with each person who was able to show;
I regret not being able to fully hear a lot of the conversations going on.
When your a part of a global community and just want to hang out for an evening, there’s a lot of these type situations that will be regretful, not in what you get, but what can be missed.
In this…I was honored by those who were able to attend and by the generosity shown in their time, presence and with some extra support to the Veterans Foodbank.
Honored by those who sent me seasonal messages because they were unable to attend.
Happy to have had a seasonal beverage in a public meeting place with everybody making it home safely.
For those across the plains, prairies and planet…I want to hold a seasonal Zoom Meeting, where…from the comfort of your home we can still have a conversation and some time together…between Christmas and the New Year.
Will see how this plays out and hope you can make it out.
As for those who were in attendance, those who were only able to send their well wishes…
Thank you!
If wasn’t for your efforts, mine would be a wash.
Merry Christmas to all of you.
I’m proud to be a member of your community.
Just look at all those beautiful smiling faces of dissenting survivors. Wonderful!
Wish I could've been there to meet and hang out with all of you, I know that I missed something great. Merry Christmas to you all, especially to you Sheldon for bringing all of us together in a common cause. I for sure was able to know for sure that I wasn't the lunatic in the room.
Btw, your book just arrived and I'm looking forward to the read. See you all for the next zoom meeting
