Veterans Food Drive - Update

Finally....

Given a busy schedule…family life…work…posting…everything always conflicting and I’m sure if the days were extended to 30 hours, I’d still be short on time.

With that being said…from my Cut-Off for our YakkStack Community Food-drive and Donations by Swag Sale on November 11th, 2022 - Remembrance Day…thankful for the warm weather…I was able to get down to Costco, do a Food Hamper Shop and get the items and cash dropped off to the Veterans Food Bank of Calgary, today.

The cut goes like this…

Donations towards food hampers worked out to be $635 + my $200 match…giving a total of $835 to put towards a food hamper.

After the shop and trying to come as close as I could to this…the bill ended up at:

$891.32.

From Sales of Merch off of the site, subtracting some errors in shipping fees, costs of materials and labor with some giveaways, minus GST…the Total Cash Raised was about $465.

Total Cash Given to the Food Bank - $500:

And…of course I mentioned that it came from our community - even wore my #IWasRightAllAlong YakkStack Coat to show some pride for our community.

Thank you to all of those who purchased some items and gave a donation towards the hamper…as well as all of those who made donations online to the Veterans of Calgary Foodbank or to their own local Veterans Food Banks.

They were all very appreciative of our efforts.
