This will be one of my first posts of a couple on the Adventure that began in Calgary, 10:30(ish)am, on January 24th, 2024…and didn’t end until right about now, when I arrived home.
Still un-showered and completely wiped of all energy.
What I can say about the event itself, is just going to have to wait.
And this is for a couple of reasons that I’m going to bust out for you.
A lot of my worlds collided during this event and for this, I’m truly thankful. I didn’t even realize how much is going on inside of the various communities that I belong to…be it, Twitter/X, Substack or the offline groups and folk I’ve met with.
There are some amazing initiatives that are going on that I am being looped into and will hopefully be getting you all included in, at a level that you can participate, because I believe that we all want the same things moving ahead…a better place to call home.
These too will wait…at least until their time is appropriate.
Now…It was quite unexpected that I got invited to go up to Edmonton for the After-Party, following the Tucker Carlson event there, but was an opportunity that I didn’t feel I could pass up.
There was talk about Premier Smith, Jordan Peterson and perhaps even Tucker himself being there…[Spoiler Alert] they didn’t make it…but I’m all FanGirl, when comes to Tucker.
So…it was kind of shitty and selfish of me to up and leave without spending some time with those of you who showed up at the Calgary Event and out to the pub afterwards for a beverage.
For this…I owe you an apology if you’d attended and I didn’t get a chance to really say “Hi”, or spend any time with you. It’s regretful that what little opportunity that affords us in getting together, I abandoned it.
My heartfelt regrets and my most humbled apologies.
Thanks for the check-in!
My spidy sense tells me this was a watershed day for all of us on this side of the fence. I feel something seismic starting.
Get some rest. You're gonna need it 😉.
I was there in Edmonton to see Tucker et al last night. It was a great show, we need to gather more often!
