Writing a book is a large task…publishing it for print and electronic versions is also a large task and a huge pain in the ass.
It’s not that I expected the first run to be anything close to perfection…but dear lord, this has been a challenge.
My intents were to have this out for raising funds prior to Remembrance Day, for donations towards the Veterans Food Bank…but sadly, I was unable to get through everything in my week off and have been absolutely overwhelmed at work and with family stuffs….obviously, I’ve missed the mark.
But that has all changed today!
While the book isn’t up, I’m a few short days from having this listed. I’ve opted to go through Ingram Spark because it’s really expensive to do this all through Amazon and this worked out to be the most economical. It’s not a cash out of pocket thing, it’s more what you get back by going this direction…and given that this is all for charity and a book on Chicken Soup…I really need to maximize this.
Yes, there will be electronic versions going out and these will be set for purchase at the same time as the print copy.
They will be available through Amazon but also through others…which others?
I don’t know.
When I do…I’ll certainly provide the links.
For now…just an update and a huge thanks to those who’ve helped me along.
Cory Morgan with a lot of great advice on directions to head.
Regina Watteel - advice on getting set through Ingram Spark, Pricing and Set Up.
And last but certainly not least…
Gary Sweitzer for the Book Cover and Art.
So…for all of those people in your life that you’re struggling to find the perfect Christmas Gift for…this will not help you out, unless they have a table that needs leveling out.
Early comments on the book have been much the same…and go like this, “You wrote a book on WHAT?” “WHY?”
Anyways…exciting day.
Getting there!
Can’t wait to get a copy.
Congrats, brother! Almost there!
