So…from my last post, I talked about my granddaughters birthday party that we were hosting over this weekend and the Candy Stand that I assembled from recycled pallets…
Yeah, I know this seems kind of facebooky for substack, but hey, it’s nice to not talk about COVID for at least a couple of sentences.
The Candy Bar:
The yard was filled with games, water balloons and kids stuffing their faces from our little center piece. While I can only take credit for building this, I will give my wife credit for filling bags with cotton candy and finding the classic jars to fill with all sorts of gummy and chewy, sugary treats.
The cake was made by my daughter-in-law, she did an amazing job carrying the Candy Land theme, decorating it with cotton candy, gumballs, runts and icing.
Adults left with full bellies…kids left with cavities and for the next 2 days we will be cleaning up the aftermath.
I hope you had as amazing of weekend as we did...If not, there’s still some time left, get on it!
;)
Happy Labour Day Sheldon! From a fellow Canadian living in Florida🌴
Thanks for the photos and for sharing your special family time. Love the candy stand. Three cheers for grandparents.
