I’d heard that Premier Smith was going to be in Ottawa this week…and it was confirmed.
By a couple of different sources, including the Premier, herself.
No…I don’t have a special line on her.
It was actually amusing how this was confirmed though.
In a Post by Liberal MP and Porch Pirate, George Chahal, he apparently decides to Throw Down the Gauntlet:
Of which, as you can see…was getting heavily ratioed - number of replies exceeds the number of likes on the post.
He’s one of the 2 Liberal MPs in the Province and was put there by the diverse community that he represents.
Smith, is the Premier of the Provinces…the entire province, in which his small community exists.
For him to take to social media with this sort of thing is holistically unprofessional, even for the Liberals…but it’s not like they let this or Ethics violations get in their way, right?
Anyways…In proper Alberta form, Smith accepted his invitation - kinda…because as she puts it, it’s not really a formal invitation.
Which…as you can see, has received a LOT MORE support than the porch pirate.
There’s a lot of butthurt in Leftie Canadian Loons, still…2 weeks following the Tucker Carlson Events in Edmonton and Calgary…and because there really aren’t any actual reasons for Canadians to be opposed to a Conservative Leader or Platform, they need to generate mythical monsters.
But here’s where it gets dirty…and this is what pisses me off about the unions…This morning, they called for an Emergency Rally for Trans Youth:
Who are the OFL, you ask?
This is them:
The Ontario Federation of Labour.
What does the labour union of Ontario have to do with Alberta to begin with…why are they so opposed to legislation that has zero impact on their own province?
And how does Smith’s visit merit this being an Emergency?
It certainly couldn’t be political, hey?
In their post, they have some recommendations:
IMPORTANT: Read
@CommunitySolid2's safety plan https://communitysolidarityottawa.ca/safety-plan
And if you follow this link…here’s what you find:
Recommendations to keep yourself safe while opposing the “far right”…
Which includes:
Protect your identity. Mask up, and use signs, umbrellas, etc., to protect yourself from being photographed by the far-right.
Masks are great not just for COVID, but also to protect your identity at events where you are likely to be targeted by the far right. Hats and hoodies can be effective at hiding your hair. Wear long sleeves, etc., to cover up any tattoos.
Avoid wearing distinctive clothing and bags that can be used to identify you, especially anything with easily identifiable logos. Be aware that shoes and glasses can be used to identify people as they are not as easily changed out. Also, avoid talking about personal details where others can overhear – especially livestreamers, police, or the far right.
Signs, umbrellas, flags, and banners can be used to block the view of livestreamers and photographers with ill intent.
And;
Do not film fellow protesters or members of the community without permission
Cameras can be a weapon. People can be identified by the authorities and by the far right based on footage that is posted to social media. Keep your cameras focused on the other side and not on fellow protesters. If you are taking photographs or video of our side, ask permission first and try to avoid identifying any individual protesters. If you need a photo for a media project, instead of faces, you can get photos of signs and banners or wide crowd shots that do not identify anyone. However, be mindful that clothing can be just as identifiable as faces.
And;
Do not give interviews to far right media outlets or “independent journalists”
If someone approaches you for an interview, ask what media outlet they are from. If they are from an established outlet such as CBC or a local newspaper, direct them towards an organizer or someone who can answer their questions. If you do agree to speak to the media, think about your safety before you agree to be quoted by name and do not provide any additional information that can be used to identify you such as place of work. If they are from Rebel News, True North (TNC), or a similar outlet, or if they identify themselves as an “independent journalist,” do not talk to them.
Bring masks…avoid taking pictures and videos of other protestors and don’t talk to the media because you’re probably not smart enough to do so, especially if they are “far right or independent media”.
These sure seem a lot like the tactics of Antifa, don’t they?
Professional and paid protestors…in an open invite to incite more hatred towards a topic that doesn’t concern them, in a province where the legislation has no reach.
The state of Eastern Canada and their mindset isn’t there to support Alberta…it’s to try and crush us into submission. Everything they are doing is uncivil and hostile towards our life, our province, our resources and our choices.
This is supported by unions who use their memberships, funds and alliances to unite against us.
It’s beyond troubling…it’s shameful and disgusting.
If you don’t think that separation and true sovereignty is warranted in Alberta, after reading this, why do you think it will take for you to come around?
Or…
Are we already too late?
Great coverage, but that last paragraph conflates the Unions and subversion activists with Ontarians and the east. We love you, your voice and our Western family.
We are going to have a warm welcome for Danielle and everything she is doing for Canadians. I have friends driving 4 hours to be there and thank her. I will post the info for the support rally on your Twitter, help spread the good word!
By far right they of course mean everyone who is not far left. I'm an old hippy that is smart enough to see that everything got hijacked, but what surprised me was how many of my old friends folded like cheap lawn chairs under pressure, going with the flow, buying the climate change BS and pushing the mandates during covid. We are making progress though, slowly waking more people up every day. Keep up the good work!
