In her first press conference as premier, Smith told reporters she would seek "new advice on public health."
Reported CTV →Link
"I appreciate the work that Dr. Deena Hinshaw has done, but I think that we are in a new phase where we are now talking about treating coronavirus as endemic, as we do influenza," the premier said.
"(I will be) developing a new team of public health advisors."
Anybody know where I can apply for a position?
Can anybody help and pull a few strings for a brother?
Seriously…
The biggest thing lacking in both politics and the health care sectors, that was revealed throughout the last 31 months of COVID is that there is ZERO oversight into these people from outside of the establishment.
Everything is…we investigated ourselves and found out we did nothing wrong.
I’ve literally got over 200 articles written on how poorly they actually did do and tracked their inconsistencies throughout it all.
We need independent oversight!
And while my colorful language has been brought up many times…I can tone it down to be on the Sunshine List.
:)
Enough about me…let’s see where this is heading…
She said vaccine mandates at AHS were an example of "poor management" that created staffing problems, and vowed to make changes to its management team before the end of the year.
"This is a management problem, it is not a problem with our frontline workers. Our frontline workers need to be supported," Smith said.
Yep.
&
"What happens in a business when they fail to meet targets and they fail to meet direction, you change the management. And so that's what we are going to do. We are going to change the management."
This is where Premier Smith is going to be in for a wake-up-call…I’m afraid.
Because the metrics that are used in business are for success…where meeting targets is viewed as a benefit to said business…whereas when it comes to Health Care…it’s all about never making the projected numbers to show success, which was done throughout the province for the last 3 years.
Do you remember all of those horrible estimates and modelling data that were used where they said zillions of people would catch and die from COVID if we didn’t follow arrows on the floor? Wear Masks? Wash our hands every 2 meters? Shut down Christmas? Shut down Schools?
Those projections were never steeped in science nor benefit and they weren’t realistic to the situation…but…because those projections were never hit, they can claim that these measures were a success.
And even if lives weren’t saved…they fell back on Morbidity instead of just Mortality…
They literally did this in provincial court…where a lackey from Manitoba was brought out as an expert witness. His involvement in COVID reached to the depths of studying the shrinkage in testicles of hamsters who caught COVID…I busted it all our here:
Now…I get that it’s complicated…but when you see this:
Where cases absolutely Exploded when 79% of the provincial population was jabbed, 73% double jabbed and 22% on their 3rd Jabs…
Where provincial vaccine based passports had already been in effect for 4 months…this should have told the story as to why their metrics based on projections were never worth anything…
And when the province started Hiding the Data that showed how poorly they were actually doing at a pandemic response through vaccines and passports:
And then when you see that More People have Died in Alberta with/from COVID this year, than did in 2020 and that this year is shaping up to be the worst COVID mortality year for Alberta…
What Premier Smith is going to need her New Team to do…is to redefine how medicine is done in the province, because their methods are what led to this catastrophe to begin with.
Welp…
Ding Dong! The Witch Is Dead…and all…
And we should all celebrate with some libations this evening…
There’s still a lot of work that needs to be done…and Danielle still needs to get not only a lot of Albertan’s on her side…she’s got a lot of Canadians to convince as well.
It ain’t over.
It’s only beginning!
Nominate Paul Alexander.
I see Alberta as a free land again and I hope that this move will help other provinces to take similar action and change things in the right direction.
