Throughout the last 3+ years, I’ve done a butt-load of research on a number of different subjects. Rather than relying on “The Experts“ and having suffered through some health issues…I’d figured that my research would be of not only personal benefit on the survival side of things, but perhaps a benefit to others.
But in a lot of conversations I get into, I get grilled on my personal qualifications instead of the content and factual evidence I’m able to assemble.
I don’t make this shit up. It takes scandalous amounts of time and research…staring at the same data, day in, day out…evening in, evening out. I read through some of the most boring data and information and try to bring it into a level that is easily understood.
And the payoff that I get…welp, a lot of it is great. I mean, we’ve assembled an entire community here on Substack, a lot of you that I’ve had the good fortune to meet with, a lot of things given back to our community by way of donations and involvements…and I’ve even had people say that my information has “Saved Lives”. Not so sure about this, but I appreciate the comments that I get.
Over the last recent week my daughter-in-law told me that she’d met one of my subscribers, Jayne. Jayne showed up to my DILs place of work, under referral from her daughter, for a hair something or rather. Honestly, I don’t fully know what women do at Hair Salons, cuts and dyes, trims???…and not only do I not fully know what they do, I don’t even know what to call it. Sorry Lauren.
As a bald guy, my interest in hair related conversations is long gone.
Anyways, thought I’d take a moment out to Thank Jayne for her kind words about me and thank Lauren for relaying her meeting with Jayne.
Thank you Jayne.
Thank you Lauren.

While I’d prefer to focus on all of the positives that have come from the COVID period of our lives, they’re not all pleasant and in all honesty, I do go out and pick fights on a regular basis. In these, I present the most recent and reliable studies or information by way of data, extracted from provincial or federal healthcare sources…but then I get the pushback.
What are your qualifications?
Are you a [Virologist, Immunologist, Vaccinologist]?
And, welp, because I am not…while most have the ability to appreciate the information that I present, it gets easily tossed out but people that are still driving around alone in their vehicles and on bicycles [yes, I have seen this], wearing masks…lining up for their next jabs.
Sooooooooooo…to get a little experience in writing books, in the spirit of continuing on with quality information and while I know the books you want me to work on…I decided to work on a book that Nobody wants me to work on, nor ever even conceptualized as something that would be published as a book.
Why?
Well…because nobody is going to ask me about my qualifications on a book about Chicken Soup - the content of My First Book.
Feel free to laugh. Everybody that I’ve told about this, has done the same…and then when I explain the flow of content…the open mouthed and teary guffaws subside and interest is piqued.
This book will hopefully be published on Amazon and I’ve set a date for this to be on/by/or around Thanksgiving…shooting for as close to that date as I can get for a couple of reasons.
We’re walking into respiratory virus season and the content is important;
The “New and Improved” Jabs will be rolling out and I’d prefer to offer an alternate solution;
You’re going to need some ideas on what to do with your leftover turkey, substitute this in for the chicken ingredient;
Lastly and most importantly, proceeds are going to split and going to the Veterans Food Bank and a Children’s Charity…FOREVER!
Basically…as long as the book is being sold, I am going to use this as my fundraiser for a yearly basis for these 2 charities, where 50% of the proceeds will be divided between these 2. While I haven’t identified the Children’s Charity, yet…I may change this up annually.
You see…it’s been an expensive year for me…a couple of expensive years, actually. And, in these, I’ve broken my budget on what I can give. This year, I’ve given towards individuals and not registered charities. While I do appreciate having a Tax Write Off, and won’t be getting one for what I’ve given over the last year…I have no regrets. I just want to set in place something that I can continue to maintain through my efforts…
I’ll break down more of the content as we get closer to the launch date, because…MARKETING!
And, I’m telling you this now, so that I am actually committed to getting this done.
And, while this will come out and read mostly like a textbook, I’ll be writing in a Tl:dr, summaries to make my book on soup, easier to consume!
The book will be pretty in depth, much like information in my substacks…so, it will be a great information piece as well as rife with errors.
Anyways…
I’ve got a killer couple of months ahead of me with work and personal obligations, and while I’d normally just use this as an excuse to not do much…I’m hunkered down and busting through this.
Just thought I’d keep you looped in.
Looking forward to buying, reading and helping raise funds for those that need a hand.
Well my brother, I will be grabbing it as soon as it's available!
I'm looking forward to it!!
