Clearly, a recall on Calgary City Mayor - Jyoti Gondek, wasn’t a clear enough message to send to Calgary City Council for them to propose something, this insane.
“Some Calgary city councillors want to give permanent residents the ability to vote during municipal elections.”
As if we don’t actually know what they’re shooting for.
And not to come across as racist…but this entire schtick is one to hone in on newly landed immigrants and sway our city council further towards a socialistic society.
“Ward 3 Coun. Jasmine Mian, Ward 5 Coun. Raj Dhaliwal, Ward 7 Coun. Terry Wong and Ward 11 Coun. Kourtney Penner are also in support.”
And you know that when this comes to vote…Gondek will be right in line.
DEI is already plaguing the city, is a part of every City Board, in our schools and being pushed into the private sector. You must only look at the color of the skin and not hire based on the achievements and accomplishments of your applicants…because surely this will create a more inclusive society.
Just not one that is as functional nor one that offers any actual benefits.
I’ve not only pondered and asked about this idea, only to conclude that I absolutely cannot get behind supporting it…
Would you choose a doctor (or any other professional), based on the color of their skin vs their academic achievement?
Because what these DEI zealots don’t seem to realize is that if we understand that lowered expectations from professionals can be identified by the color of skin, this will have an absolute INVERSE impact as to what they want to see.
This does seemingly and coincidentally come at an opportune time when they are trying to stack communities through the ideas of Multi-Family Dwellings, under the guise of ‘Affordable Housing’, where the Feds have bribed lefty mayors with hundreds of millions of taxpayer funds, to ‘unlock’ new homes to “tackle Canada’s housing crisis”:
Also at a time when Canadians learned that there are over 1 Million International Students…and who even knows how many TFWs there are.
They will all have an opportunity to weigh in on our elections with this insanity, because who is going to take the time to vette each vote and risk being subjected to being called “RACIST”, for not allowing votes from those who would be considered a possible permanent resident?
Add to this…during our last election, ID wasn’t required to vote…
You just needed somebody there to vouch for you as being in the neighborhood and it’d be allowed.
Of course there’d be registration…but of course this registration would include densely populated university and college areas, all of the new multiplexes that we were never allowed to vote on in rezoning and all of the homes that are stacked with several family members who’ve tagged into Canada and Calgary through the education scams with international students.
They’re trying to completely steal democracy here.
And I don’t think that anybody even realizes it yet.
You are 100% correct The destruction of our democracy will be from the municipalities first. They are the easiest elections to manipulate ala Gondek and Sohi
Calgary city council in the running in some kind of contest against the BCNDP for who is be the most destructive to our society? Keep this up and you'll win. And it's a tight race.
