You've all posted a lot of kind words, texts and emails over the last couple of days and it has been greatly appreciated.
I started into substack under the premise that I wanted to preserve my content from being erased by the social media platforms for not keeping in line with the 'thing of the day', and even further proving to them how full of shit they actually are, using their own information.
So...on the update side of things...yeah, maybe taking down all I've created is a terrible idea. While I have most of a recollection of what to find and where to find it...a simple link to something already in place is definitely a bit of a time-saver as well as does serve as an easy reference for others who'd like to preserve the timeline as we've all seen it play out.
And it's even more interesting for me to go back and see how my writing started as mostly dreck...progressed into cohesive thoughts (with many edits required)...and to where I've arrived at, where the constant negativity over what we're all seeing keeps me in a head-space that's really not that enjoyable.
All previous stacks will remain here...completely intact.
I love to write...but my content has been slipping...and as some of you have rightfully pointed out, in an unsustainable manner. Not good for my mental health...which would most certainly leave me on a path to having my liver resembling that of former NDP Premier of Alberta - Rachel Notley.
Heh.
So maybe just a little seasonal downtime.
Time to focus on the spirit of family and togetherness...
A better place and a better head-space.
& thanks to another substacker, I've found a way to pause all paid subs...meaning that you won't be charged monthly for content I may not be around to write, and you won't lose time off of a yearly subscription - you'll still get the full value of the year, if I can get back in the saddle in the New Year. No 'New Paid Subscriptions' will be available for this time and I've got this set until the End of January.
If I can't get my shit back together by then...it will be a time to re-asses.
The bottom line really is...whether you are a paid sub or a free member, I do owe it to you to keep things in check and maintain the ideals that I started into this journey with.
The conversations have continued to grow throughout the comments section and I think we've built a pretty amazing community...one that I am definitely proud to be a part of...watching this fade away would be tragic.
I do have some updates that will be coming over the next short period of time - what I feel is important to deliver into our community, so will keep up on those.
As for the daily scorch...I think we could all use a little less of that right now.
Let's see how things play out.
Thank you for all of your support and kind words.
All the best to you and yours throughout this Holiday Season!
Sheldon - I've been a subscriber and found your information very helpful and useful, as I know many here have. I'm a U.S. lawyer and I've been in this fight for 20+ years (it started with military vaccine mandates way back in the late 90s for me). Being in this for the long haul requires not just perseverance, but a keen eye toward your own mental well-being. (The word "equanimity" comes to mind, which is really difficult task given what the powers that be are doing). But you can't sustain yourself on rage. I've had to step away and come back repeatedly over the last 2 decades so that I didn't try to suck-start my SIG.
TAKE A BREAK. Go be with your family and set this aside. You've done God's work and what you've put up remains. If you never write another word, you've already done more than most. After the New Year, see how you feel.
Much love from middle America.
My heart is happy. I call you friend. My link in Ontario to the sanity of the west. Stay strong. Stay true. LOVE YOU LOTS. love and friendship to your family. You come back fighting when you're ready. I'm sure the steal in your soul will demand it.
