It took me longer to read, than assemble...
Wasn't a perfect evening, but it went pretty well...
There were some challenges to overcome this evening for the speaking engagement as well as tying in the zoom call…(I have some great take aways that can be changed in future).
But my hosts were fantastic and the crowd was amazing.
In spite of the majority of my content being dullish data, nobody visibly, in the room or on zoom, fell asleep.
I assembled all of the information for the presentation, in about 3 hours on Saturday…which, at the time was all of the energy I could muster.
And intros took some time and we did cover the majority…I didn’t make it to the end.
I’ll take full responsibility for that.
After I looked at it, I could have razored out a few pages….but even at that, I could have easily taken 5 hours to go fully over it.
“Do you Remember”, was an important read, mostly went well…but it was long.
I never figured it would have taken me that long to go through it.
I could have wrapped up after that and saved you all a couple of hours this evening.
Bottom line, for the most part, it all worked out well…but I’ve learned some lessons.
I met a lot of amazing people this evening and happy to see their efforts in their community…
However…I also realize that for you all, on zoom, it may not have been as good and I had to unfortunately wrap up before I could get to any questions from you guys.
Again, my fault…I just prattled on for waaaaaaaaaay to long.
So…we’ll do this.
We’ll have a town hall that we can go over any or all of the information…and open it up fully for conversation and questions. It’s not going to be this week…there aren’t enough days in this week for me to get to this…but we will do this next week…probably.
The group this evening made me realize how important sharing information is and that every effort, all hands on deck, is what we need to be doing right now…so…
I want to have a townhall on my:
First.
And then…we can chat amongst ourselves about the rest.
We’ve got some momentum starting here…and we can’t afford to lose traction. All good things, moving forward.
Have a great night, all.
Thanks for showing up to support me on the Zoom & Thanks for keeping the conversations going.
Thank you for all that you do! It was nice to put a face to the name - even if it was on zoom! 😎
Glad It Went Well Looking Forward To Next One!
