Now…don’t get me wrong here…
I have a lot friends, family and a lot of our YakkStack Community resides in BC…and typically speaking, I wouldn’t wish an NDP Government on anyone…but the fact is, they’ve chosen it, and continue to do so…for whatever reasons.
But as an Albertan, it’s good to see a test-pilot of ideas and ideologies - good, bad or indifferent to see if they can actually make a positive impression on society. I’m already a grandfather, hope to live long enough to see great-grandchildren, but want a world for them is better than the one we are seeing now, under Liberal-NDP majority.
Test-piloting of ideas isn’t new…
It’s just that feelings get in the way of inconvenient facts and that’s why we are in such a pickle right now.
“We’re all in this together”…isn’t a terrible philosophy, but when came to a pandemic that only impacted the greatest of elderly and chronically ill, was complete bullshit.
Encouraging others to take a vaccine, with known side-effects that included death, to keep others safe, when you were never at risk…Terrible Idea.
Test-piloting Vaccines on people who were in actual risk situations to see if they worked…Good Idea.
It’s the same with all of this climate bullshit.
No place on the planet, that is landlocked and away from hydro-electricity has managed to completely green out their energy grids without substantial risks to the inhabitants. If/when they can make this work…with a test-piloted program…let’s see if we can scale this.
We all realize that oil is finite.
How long do we have until we run out?
Nobody really knows and if we learned anything about Experts and Projections over the last 3 years, it’s that they haven’t a single fucking clue as to what we can expect…especially when their pay is dependent on NOT hitting the metrics they proposed.
They said…if we don’t lock-down the planet…millions of people will die and showed graphs that were brought out by Apocalyptic Glue Sniffers…and when we never hit these forecasts, they said…see, it’s because lockdowns work.
Now that actual science has come out to show that lockdowns were an abysmal failure…nobody wants to talk about them anymore.
So…let’s get back to WHY Albertans should be happy to have an NDP Government…in British Columbia.
Because BC, one of our sister provinces with a population closer to ours than Saskatchewan, shows the failures of the NDP Policies on a Larger Scale…meaning that to try and scale this down to Alberta’s Population would show an equal abysmal failure.
Let’s take for example…Rachel Notley’s stance on the Economy:
What does this look like in BC?
According to Todd Stone, MLA for Kamloops…the NDP have been a complete fucking catastrophe…check out his 4 tweet thread:
Now…I know what you are saying. It’s easy to find a Conservative to knock down NDP ideas, right?
And this is true…the only thing is…MLA Todd Stone is actually a member of the BC Liberal Party…
When the Liberals think you are hiring too many government employees and not saving the population from High Inflation and Skyrocketing Fuel Costs…you know you’ve fucked up!
Let’s take a gander at the Rachel Notley NDP Party on Health Care…again…
Previously…I talked about this guy:
Because he got all offended with Premier Smith decided to get a second opinion on forcing vaccines to Albertans who need organ transplants…but because the NDP’s love the division caused by the Vaccines and Mandates, they’ll be the ones lining up for shots perpetually.
Good on em, I say!
But…Notley and the NDP have been focused on other issues inside of AHS…like Phoenix:
And this by Joe Ceci…
That notes that people were waiting 2 years for spinal surgery and being forced to stay in Mexico to get care for Flesh-Eating bacteria…
But really…all that this does is reaffirm what Smith is doing.
Shattering the Healthcare system because these pricks haven’t been able to prioritize children with brain tumors, others who need spinal surgery, inflicted with Flesh Eating Bacteria…and do you know who else is on this list?
The 2 people in Alberta who were rejected for Transplants because they refused vaccinations.
Does this sound like a fully functional Healthcare System?
Would throwing more money at this problem fix it?
If that was the answer…it’d already would have been done. The only thing that happens when we throw money at a problem is that the money vanishes and the problem still stays.
And while Shepherd wants the UCP to live up to their responsibility…
He’s the same asshole who got all ass-chapped when the Premier was trying to get another read on policies dictated by the Alberta College of Physicians that are causing all of the above problems.
BUT…thankfully…if weren’t just for the colossal hypocrisy inside of Alberta, by the NDP party…we can also look at what’s happening in BC.
Now, I’ve already talked about how poorly the NDP actually support frontline healthcare workers here:
Now…back in December, Federal NDP Leader, Jag Singh parachuted his way into Alberta to chat with Albertans about Healthcare…
The same time as his own province BC was in a CODE ORANGE for their healthcare system…meaning that their shit is broken and firing unvaccinated EMS and Healthcare workers isn’t a solid plan to make sure that things are tended to properly…what you need to realize is that British Columbia, through the NDP Leadership, when faced with Hospitals that were overrun with sick people just laid boot to ass and cleaned out some beds…and then refused to talk about the 1,800 patients that they had selected to oust→ Link
A month after they announced plans were underway to eject hundreds of hospital patients to make room for a potential wave of COVID-19 and influenza patients, British Columbia’s government is fighting to conceal how many have been sent away.
On Sept. 28, the health minister announced 1,300 patients were earmarked for care “in community” with another 500 to go to care homes, and blindsided stakeholders immediately replied that they were “not sure if it's attainable” given the critical staffing shortages.
Do you get that?
Instead of fixing the problem with healthcare or hiring back fired healthcare workers…they kicked 1800 people out of hospitals and then refused to talk about it further stating:
After several subsequent requests for the information that were not acknowledged, a senior public affairs officer wrote, “You will need to submit a Freedom of Information Request for this information.”
Healthcare is a very tricky subject and because of the absolute shit job that the Provincial Health Care Providers - across the country - did throughout the last 3 years and the additional billions of dollars pissed away, without adding capacity…they all deserve our sincerest of scorn and animosity.
Defending them and wanting to further support them by throwing more gasoline onto the dumpster fire - as the Alberta NDP’s have suggested…is not a way to fix it. Their Plan B in BC, is kicking sick people to the curb is equally a terrible idea.
So yeah…We as Albertans should be very thankful to have an NDP government…in other provinces. It truly shows that as bad as things have gotten, it could get a lot worse under an NDP Government as is in BC.
The BC NDP are a complete fucking disaster but as you say, the people keep electing them for the mere reason that we haven’t had reliable leadership in other parties ever. Having said that the Conservatives and the PPC a gaining ground. Hopefully the people wake up to the NDP’s ineptitude and the damage they continue to impose upon us. Get these NDP idiots out of the province and the country for good.
That's what you get for vaulting universal public health as a key feature of the Canadian identity and imprudently tagging it as a value. Any attempts to try and fix it is bound to be met with the usual and tiresome howls of 'what do you want? The American system?"
Always constant logical fallacies we have to face.
What's also annoying is 2/3 of Canadians vote NDP/Liberal. So even if they 'see' B.C. in a messed up state, not sure if it matters on how they vote.
