I love the challenge of writing a book…but can also appreciate that this would be a very large task and that I would need to rely on some fantastic editing skills…and a sense of commitment.
So…here’s my thoughts…
While writing for said book, I publish and allow open editing on my content by way of comment…open Zoom cast meetings for discussion, lay everything out and self publish.
And you…take part in the conversation, help with editing and spelling to take credit in a published version.
I do this by paid subscriber only (Do NOT become a paid subscriber now because of this, this is only a proposal and would only require a month-to-month not full yearly paid)…to help keep out the riff raff and trolls…and schedule meetings according with available time-zones for conversation.
You get advanced information as we progress…and ability to assist/correct…
I get to produce content that you’d fully approve.
Seems kinda win:win.
Or…I could go it alone.
What do you think?
Yo Sheldon! Love following your stats and the Alberta content. As a Richmondite turned Vancouverite, I feel more at home here than in left-coast geared sites. Would love to chime in with thoughts. My “but” is
“I get to produce content that you’d fully approve.”
The libertarian in me says you should produce content **you** fully love and care about, my approval be damned. Otherwise, go for it!
Honestly, I have no idea. Going it alone sounds a bit daunting- to me, anyway.
I'm a SAHM of two kids under 6 years old, and I'm a homeschool teacher to both of them. Don't know how much time I'd have to provide input, however, I LOVE to proofread. I'm an excellent proofreader, if I do say so myself. I love spelling and grammar. I correct my husband on a daily basis. If needed, I would love to help out in a proofreading capacity! :-)
