I was up around 5am last Sunday…still a lot of pain, cold symptoms in full swing and was completely drained. Much as I wanted to just be sleeping, my brain seemingly had more important things to do and just wasn’t going too allow me to rest.
And, when Constable W. rang my doorbell, round about 8:15…I was less than impressed.
And, when I’d found out that my sons vehicle was involved in an early morning incident…I was a little more thankful that my brain was already processing.
“The individual was asleep in the vehicle, with his foot on the brake and still in drive. When the officer went up to the driver side window to resolve the situation, the driver took off running through a stop sign and losing the pursuing officer”, explained Cst. W.
My son doesn’t live at home anymore…he’s a few blocks away but the vehicle registration was still to our home address. I’d provided all of the relevant information to the officer, including my sons address and phone number and called my son closing the door, following egress of CPS.
No Answer!
FUCK!
Into the shower, I begrudgingly went…and by the time I got to my sons house, Cst. W. was just arriving. He was circling my sons block to see if the vehicle was in the neighborhood.
We walked up to the door together, rang the bell and my son answered.
He was already on the phone with CPS and they were asking some questions.
The vehicle wasn’t out front…my son had just woken up…hadn’t even noticed that his vehicle was gone.
Long and the short…his wheels are no where to be found and we’ll probably not get them back in usable condition. Fortunately, I have my summer whip that he’s been able to borrow to get to and from his physio appointments. Even more fortunate…the driver - assumed to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol, hadn’t run over anybody…yet.
Throughout the last 3 years, between me and my son, we’ve witnessed 5 robberies, one which my son was assaulted in, one was an armed robbery, three fleeing on foot.
Prior to the last few years…I’ve witnessed exactly ZERO.
Along with this, the rash of break-ins, in our community, are off the charts…my own car robbed, while parked at the top of my driveway…items stolen, my ashtray full of spare change, a few pairs of sunglasses and my granddaughters stroller - Who Does This?
There is an amazing amount of crime in the province of Alberta, right now…not to mention the situation with city’s LRT system - Light Rail Transit. I’m fortunate enough not to have take the bus anymore…pretty thankful for this. Apparently, in both Edmonton and Calgary, the trains and stations are overrun with drug addicts making for some uncomfortable situations…
This needs to be addressed.
Welp…About a month ago, Premiers from all provinces got together seeking Bail Reform…
Because after creating an economic crisis driving waves of crime…while only focusing law enforcement on those who were opposed to the insane policies put in place…calling out the war measures act on truckers in Ottawa…crimes have surged in Canada.
This also follows the Catch and Release program that ALL Provincial Premiers want to have addressed.
Seems reasonable…
This was brought to the House of Commons for vote yesterday →Link
MOTION TEXT
That, given that, after eight years of this government's soft on crime policies,
(i) violent crime has increased by 32%,
(ii) gang-related homicides have increased by 92%,
(iii) violent, repeat offenders are obtaining bail much more easily,
(iv) increasing daily acts of crime and violence are putting Canadians at risk,
(v) five Canadian police officers were killed in the line of duty in just one year,
the House call on the government to enact policies that prioritize the rights of victims and law-abiding citizens, namely:
(a) fix Canada's broken bail system by immediately repealing the elements enacted by Bill C-75, An Act to amend the Criminal Code, the Youth Criminal Justice Act and other Acts and to make consequential amendments to other Acts, which force judges to release violent, repeat offenders onto the streets, allowing them to reoffend;
(b) strengthen Canada's bail laws so that those who are prohibited from possessing firearms and who are then accused of serious firearms offences do not easily get bail; and
(c) ensure that Canada's justice system puts the rights of law-abiding Canadians ahead of the rights of violent, repeat offenders.
Put up as Vote No. 251 - 44th Parliament, 1st Session…and how do you think this turned out?
It was ‘Noped the Fuck Out’ of the HoC, 116 yeas to 205 nays.
Seriously…when there is a massive increase in crime…people afraid to take taxfunded public transport, community robberies daily…when the Premiers of All Provinces are urging for reform…how the fuck does the HoC vote this down?
It’s disgusting.
Of course this is another vote that the NDP supported the Libs on…a little surprised to see Bloc joining in on this…but here’s the cut:
So…I need you to help with this…
If your MP hit the Nope Button in this vote…I’d like you to reach out and ask them WHY?
Why do they not want Canadians to be safe from Criminals?
Why they’ve stopped supporting our safety?
How can they continually collect more taxation and provide less service to Canadians?

Dear Honorable [What’s your Face],
Why do you support repeat offenders running free in my community?
Why did you vote Nay on Vote 251 - Bail Reform?
Sincerely,

And if you get any replies from these assholes…let me know.
While they believe you should live in a crime ridden shithole - they wipe their asses with your taxpaid salary…they eat better…they live better…they send their children to better schools…they are protected by officers also paid with your taxpayer dollars.
Why do they get to feel safe, when they won’t afford the same opportunity to you…their employer?
I just went after that useless tool, Mark Gerritsen. Kingston, Ontario sits smack dab in the midst of the most concentrated area of penal institutions in all of Canada. Many never leave the area after release.
Sorry brother 😞
I had to share though. Obviously the joneses still haven't gotten how messed up and broken this country is. I wish we could run our own msm through the corrupt CRTC
