A couple of days ago, Dr. Deena Hinshaw announced that Fourth doses of COVID-19 vaccines would be made available starting this week.
Which seems odd because we only started running a booster program on September 1, 2021. Like anything on a mass scale, it takes some time to fully roll out and get people on board. At current, we look to have boosted about 30% of the population:
Which is impressive since this is just 142 days ago. But inside of this time period, not all people taking it on the same day, a number of people have lost their immunity…already? And will now require a booster on top of their booster?
That seems really quick. At this rate, protection would be a midpoint 71 days which is just over 2 months meaning that those willing could have to line up for a jab somewhere between 4 and 6 times per year.
That’s a lot of boosters.
How do we know that these boosters have worn off so quickly?
Well…case spread is higher than has ever been on any previous wave…
Boosted people, over the last 120 days are way over represented in the ICUs;
And COVID deaths:
But, according to Dr. Hinshaw, the vaccines have worn off of these people and they need another booster.
The vaccines were approved for use in the Province under an Emergency Authorization from Health Canada.
And while has been amended to include the 5-11 and 12-15 age groups, it was under the impression that it would be somewhere between 90.7 and 100% effective. Effective at what you may ask?
Maybe for the Alpha Variant, to help reduce hospitalizations and deaths, maybe even for Delta…but does it really look like it’s that effective now?
It does not.
Health Canada says that 92.6% of all cases detected at current are Omicron.
And what is the current effective rate for the vaccines against Omicron?
We don’t know because they won’t tell us. Instead, we see Gamma listed which if you look right up again, has never had a case inside of Canada.
Boosters for Alpha and Delta never happened. How do we need a 4th booster following the 3rd booster after only 2 months, with Omicron?
And then there’s this, early study:
Booster shots with messenger RNA vaccines such as those made by Pfizer Inc. and BioNTech SE failed to block Omicron in a study of some of the first documented breakthrough cases caused by the highly contagious variant.
There are a lot of conversations being had right now about vaccinated and unvaccinated people instead of having the one big conversation about, do these still qualify for authorized use in Canada?
And if not, why is Dr. Hinshaw trying to get a 4th shot into people?

What they are using as an "efficiency" is relative efficiency, while calculation of of absolute efficiency gives you number of some 1%!!!
