Due to a lack of my summer availability and a lull in posting, I shut off Paid Subscriptions at the end of May of this year.
Not really fair to keep charging fees for me not doing anything…If I wanted to do this, I’d turn into a politician and run for office.
:)
I’ve kept these turned off for a while…and then I reached out to you all for some support for a couple of members of my community.
Sheila Annette Lewis
Jay Yankson…
And y’all stepped up to the plate and helped out.
This means a lot to me and that’s why I extended my paid sub suspension until January 1, 2024. Meaning…If you pay monthly, this fee wasn’t deducted from your bank account, and if you are a yearly subscriber, you didn’t lose a single month off of a yearly sub - meaning, if you paid for 12 months, you will receive 12 months of paid subscription, gapping the last 5 months not being deducted from your 12 month sub - these months will only be restarted in January.
Add to this, I’ve got all together for my #ChickenSoup book and it WILL FINALLY BE RELEASED THIS WEEK!
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!
Now…proceeds from the book, given the delays on time will 100% be going towards the Veterans Food bank and while this may not generate a lot of profit, I’m happy to have done this for the experience of publishing one of the dullest books ever published that nobody ever asked for.
Essentially…I’m making nothing off of my writing, nor time commitment.
Anyways…
I know times are lean…and community is important.

So far, with the exception of a couple of posts, 100% of my content has been free anyways, which it will remain…sooooooooooooooooo.
Come January, should I allow Paid Subs to be spent out and added or…should I just hold off for the next while and see what the economy will bring and what I can do to continue to build our community?
Let me know in the comments section.
Send me a reply by email…though I admittedly may not see it.
:P
If it wasn’t for you…I’d not be doing this, so I need your input here.
I’m happy to keep supporting you for the community building alone, Sheldon. No one works for free in my books. I’d gladly pay to hear even half those speakers and we are getting it for free. Your time isn’t free, however, and a few bucks a month is a pittance for the added value to my life.
Just my two cents
I am very willing to continue to pay for services rendered. I ( we) recognize the value of the information you provide , information that is so revealing. We need you Sheldon. You can count on my support.
