It’s like nobody realizes that we have a House of Commons, where things are voted on…and even less realize that these votes are public.
We have a legacy media to thank for that.
Because…when the Liberals decided to raise 5 more taxes this year…they did so with the full support of the NDP…
In case you missed this from back in September of last year…Pierre Poilievre introduced a motion to have the Liberal Government eliminate it’s plan to triple the carbon tax…
In which the NDP, universally voted to not do this at all.
Now this states that you don’t get back more than you put in at all…it states that 60% of households pay more than they get back…reported by the Parliamentary Budget Officer.
So…when Notley chimes in with:
Her first words being, that they will focus on keeping more in your pocket…how does she plan to do this?
If wasn’t just for the additional money we’re getting hosed with the Carbon Taxes and their increases…
Who does she believes pays for our healthcare now?
Is there some magical Money Unicorn that will fly around AHS if the NDP are elected, sprinkling money down?
AHS is a Crown Corporation…they are paid by taxes. Any movement on additional funding to improve the system does, in fact, come out of our pockets.
But really…what is Notleys’ plan…I mean, she must have some idea how to fix the issues with AHS, right?
No…in fact, she does not.
You can see it here → Link
Here’s the crux of the Notley Plan:
Rachel Notley’s Bill 201: The Public Health Care Delivery Standards Act is designed to make a real difference in Albertans’ lives by empowering the Health Quality Council of Alberta to set Health Care Delivery Standards through consultation with patients, health care workers, and communities.
Because, unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last 3 fucking years, you will know that this is the exact same thing we’ve been doing…empowering people who’ve completely fucked this up to begin with.
And the contingency to this plan is this:
If standards are not met, the government would then be required to create an action plan, including assessing if there are adequate resources in health care to ensure Albertans can access quality and timely care.
Wha?
If the same plan that has failed to work for the last 3 years, continues to fail, the government has to come up with an action plan.
And the part in bold…feed more cash into the broken system to continue down this spiraling failure…more administrators, more management, less health care…the NDP way!
She will build a resilient jobs economy…
Which, in her Competitiveness, Jobs & Investment Strategy for Alberta, includes repealing the Sovereignty Act.
Where…PMJT, only yesterday, released his intent on killing the energy sector in Alberta to develop green energy jobs.
Where will these green energy jobs come from?
Will there be investors, technology and manufacturing coming to the province - as private investors?
Will these create the new jobs?
If so…where the fuck are they now?
The fact is…without more taxdollars being thrown onto this dumpster-fire of an idea, it isn’t actually a good idea. If it were a good idea, it would already be here. It’s not like JT, the Libs and the NDP can force successful Green Energy Companies to come to Alberta from other provinces…because there aren’t any…well…not that aren’t predominantly funded by tax dollars.
Even when Notley was Queen of Alberta in her last run…her greatest achievement in creating jobs was to pay people to go around changing lightbulbs and shower heads.
It failed round one…and is going to fail round 2.
If there were a successful business model around changing lightbulbs, it would already be a business…wouldn’t need to be funded by taxpayers…and those who used the service would be the only ones on the hook for it.
Not one proposal put forth by the NDP party under Notley Leadership for the province is good for the province.
Not One!
Nothing she wants to do will keep any money in your pocket…it will cost us all dearly.
Like it did last time.
Kinda like her Healthcare improvement plan…burn more cash…watch the problems get worse…burn more cash.
We can’t afford another NDP Leadership party in this province.
Even if we could…would we really want one?
As Dr. Paul Alexander says, and with the same caveat he recently brought up (see his Substack for context): Hang them all, hang them all high. Accountability is sorely needed.
Well said as always Sheldon🙌🏼
